The Frome Amateur Operatic Society (FAOS) has long provided musical entertainment for the people of Frome and the surrounding area. We are proud to have celebrated our Centenary in 2006! During a twelve month period, over 10,000 people come to see our shows and we are regarded as one of the best musicals groups for many miles.
The Society performs five productions each year - a traditional musical in May, a youth production in August, a modern musical and a concert in October and a traditional family pantomime just after Christmas. The Society can compete, particularly with it's Christmas productions, with the professional shows in the vicinity and is often compared favourably with them by theatre goers. The Frome Memorial Theatre is our home. We perform there and we rehearse in the Assembly Rooms behind.
FAOS is currently going through one of it's best times in history and is always looking for other volunteers to join in and share it's success, on and off stage. It really is great fun and can be, if you let it, a way of life.
