Jesus Christ Superstar - Oct 2010

I think your production of 'Jesus Christ Superstar' was utterly amazing.  I enjoyed every minute and the ending was superb!  Who could not be moved by such a scene.  People around me were crying. Thankyou so much and congratulations to all involved.

I came to see your show last night with my mother and had to write and tell you how brilliant we both thought it was.  The singing, in particular, was outstanding by all the cast but the show overall was just fantastic. The ending was inspired and perfect for this particular show.  As this prevented showing our appreciation to individual cast members please could you do so on our behalf. Thank you for a wonderful show. My only criticism - the backing music was often a little too loud to be able to hear the singing. Unfortunately this seems to be the case with most productions I have been to see.

Annie - May 2010

I just wanted to say a really BIG 'Thank you' to everyone at the FAOS for being so lovely towards Holly during her time in 'Annie'. She had such a wonderful experience playing the part of one of the orphans and she enjoyed every minute of it (as did I!)I am so very proud of her and so very grateful to Jo Windel and Sally for encouraging me to bring her along to the auditions! All Holly wants to know now is "when's the next show Mummy"!!! Thank you again.

Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs - January 2010

Many congratulations to the whole company on, behind and below stage, on a tremendous production which we enjoyed enormously, admiring the confidence and stage presence of all the players and the wonderful staging, scenery and costumes of a lavish production. It is invidious to mention specific people but we particularly enjoyed the performances of Nicole Wooldridge, Sophie Rozycka, the dwarfs and the musicians in the pit.  Brilliant.  Many thanks.

The Full Monty - October 2009

Hey everyone involved in The Full Monty. i want to congratulate you on what was one hell of an outstanding show!!! My personal favourite bit was Nevil doing his dance with Lou - that was hillarous, but in all i couldn't find a fault - it was amazing and the set - wow!!  Congratulations to all of you and well done to the brave men that got their kit off.  Lol.  Well done !!  Holly xxx

Just to say what a fantastic show. Great performance from the whole cast. Brave choice for FAOS but one that was brilliantly written with such reflective songs. It was a wonderful and extremely funny evening and well done to all.

Spellbound

Thank you so much for publishing such a beautiful photo, you wouldn't believe the number of texts I have received saying i'm in the paper with leg warmers and a perm!!!!!!!  Yes, that's me with my foot on the stool.  Even my children have laughed and defaced the photo.  I thought up the name Spellbound so its great to know that its still going strong after all these years.  We had a great time doing Godspell, with a fabulous cast, choreographer, director and musical man.  The show was a great success as were the parties!  Good luck with the next production.

Mack & Mabel - May 2009

Dear cast and musicians involved in Mack and Mabel, my wife and I came to see the musical last night and were bowled over. Having only ever been to the Pantomimes that you put on we were very impressed. A fantastic nights entertainment with great music, great humour and performed in superb spirit and with obvious enjoyment to all involved. Well done and thankyou all

Mother Goose - January 2009

I would just like to say how amazing the whole of FAOS are.  Being in Mother Goose was amazing and FAOS plays such a big part in Frome.  The whole cast were amazing, not to mention all the leads who had amazing voices, acting and dancing skills.  It was nice to be so welcomed into FAOS and I will be sprinting back to the next auditions.

I saw the production Mother Goose today, the first production I have seen by FAOS.  I was very impressed with the performance and cast and my 4 year old was in awe for the entire length of the performance (rendering him silent for over 2 hours which is remarkable considering he talks constantly from the minute he wakes)!

So glad that the Frome Amateur Operatic Society has decided to upgrade its website.  FAOS is an important part of Frome and is much respected.  Its great therefore to see it represented by this colourful and exciting new website.  It shouts of art, theatre and music.  I love all the photos and especially the way that for some of the pages you get a different picture every time.  Well done FAOS!
